Two weeks ago, a mob made up of hundreds of angry Muslims descended on two different churches in West Sumatra. The day before that was a protest against the increase in Christian schools in the area. The mob was organized by the Islamic Organizations Communication Forum, a radical Islamic political group. Several people in the mob threatened the church against plans to expand their building. Fortunately, the police and military were able to keep the mob from doing any damage.
Pray for these churches as to stand strong in the face of persecution. Ask that God would help them to love their enemies (Matthew 5:44).
