Sixty years ago, the historic first Asia-Africa Conference took place in Bandung, Indonesia. On this sixtieth anniversary, Indonesia invited 109 world leaders to the conference. As of April 16, 77 countries have representatives coming to the Asia-Africa Conference. There are also 34 heads of states attending the anniversary.
The conference itself is taking place from April 19 – April 24. There will also be an Asia-Africa Business Summit on April 21 and 22, with close to 500 people attending. In addition to the representatives from specific countries, there will also be representatives from six international organizations, including the UN and ASEAN. The total number of delegations is at 1,800, and 1,300 media companies have registered to cover the event. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that they are expecting 3,600 foreign visitors.
Ask the Father to give wisdom to these world leaders as they discuss important issues to Africa and Asia. Pray protection over this conference as well, that there will be no major catastrophe during it.
