Authorities Threaten To Close Schools

Students in IndonesiaAuthorities in Blitar, a town in East Java are threatening to close six Catholic schools because they do not offer Islamic courses to their Muslim students. They state that the schools are breaking a regional bylaw that requires all Muslim students to receive Islamic courses in school. However, sources within the schools state that the Muslim students and families accepted the courses and have never complained for religious reasons.

Pray that these schools, and other Christian schools, will be allowed to remain open so they can share the Gospel openly.

      Bill,
There are some other websites out there similar to this one. One is http://joshuaproject.net/, which gives information about people groups all over the world, not just Indonesia.
I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the site.
