Two Christians in Indonesia have been given a three-year sentence in jail for evangelizing Muslims. Their lawyer insisted that the trial violated the men’s human rights, but Kashfi Rasyid and Jalaudin were still convicted. There was much debate during the trial on whether the men were Christians or Muslims. The lawyers for the men are now going to appeal to a higher court. Five other families who were part of the same ministry were forced to flee their homes. They are receiving help to resettle elsewhere.
Ask the Father to give strength to these men while in prison, that they will continue to stand strong. Pray for protection for these men’s families, and the other families who have had to flee.
