Eid Al-Adha was celebrated throughout the Muslim world this past Friday. Traditionally, an animal is sacrificed, and the meat is given to poor people. Singapore is such a wealthy country that a group of Muslims went to neighboring Indonesia to perform the ritual. They donated animals on the nearby island of Batam to serve meat to those who otherwise cannot afford it. They gave three bulls fifty goats. The event has become so popular that Batam tourist officials are now sponsoring Eid Al-Adha themed trips for Singaporeans.
Pray for both Indonesians and Singaporeans to come to an understanding of Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice for their sins.
